Championship 26-27 Season
The competitive season is in full swing with Regionals happening now:
- Regionals Season 1 — qualifier path to the World Championship
- Side Event Prize Wall — updated with exclusive promos and playmats
- Store Championships — bringing Regionals-level prizing to local game stores
This is the best time to jump into competitive play — the player base is growing, and Bandai has invested heavily in the organised play structure for 2026-27.
New Product
OP-16 Release
The OP-16 set is on the horizon. Release Events have been announced, which typically means the set drops 2-4 weeks after the event announcement. Expect:
- Booster boxes with the latest meta-defining cards
- Release Event promos exclusive to participating stores
- New leaders and archetypes for the competitive season
Premium Card Collection — Live Action Edition Vol. 2
Following the success of the first Live Action set, Volume 2 focused on the full Straw Hat Crew is coming. These premium collections have been strong performers for collectors — Vol. 1 singles are up significantly.
OP15-EB04: Adventure on Kami’s Island
Already launched and making waves. The Skypiea-themed set brings Enel and the Kami’s forces into the game with new mechanics.
Convention Appearances
Bandai is hitting the convention circuit hard:
- Anime Central (May 1, 2026) — exclusive promos and demo events
- Japan Expo 2026 — announced April 24, expected to feature major announcements
These conventions are where Bandai typically drops news about future sets and banlist updates. If you can attend, the exclusive promos alone are usually worth the trip.
Pirates Party 2026
The Pirates Party casual event series returns with Vol. 1 in May. Designed as a more relaxed alternative to the competitive grind, these events come with unique participation promos and are ideal for introducing new players to the game.
Bottom Line
If you play One Piece TCG, there’s no excuse for missing events this summer. Between Regionals, Treasure Cups, conventions, and new product, the scene is healthier than it’s ever been. Get your deck ready.
